An independent celebrant is a professional who creates and conducts personalised ceremonies that reflect your story, beliefs, values, and wishes. Unlike a registrar-led ceremony, a celebrant ceremony is not restricted by legal wording, location, format, or tradition, allowing you the freedom to create something truly unique.
I create bespoke ceremonies including weddings, civil partnerships, commitment ceremonies, vow renewals, naming ceremonies, funerals, memorial ceremonies and bespoke ceremonices. Every ceremony is individually written and designed around the people at the heart of it.
A celebrant-led ceremony gives you the freedom to celebrate your relationship in a way that feels authentic to you. You can choose your own words, location, music, rituals, and style, creating a ceremony that reflects your journey rather than following a set script.

I’ll arrive with plenty of time to prepare, liaise with your venue and suppliers, and ensure everything runs smoothly. My role is to guide you through the ceremony, create a relaxed atmosphere, and make sure you can be fully present in the moment.
Most ceremonies last between 20 and 45 minutes, depending on the style of ceremony and the elements you choose to include. The focus is always on creating a meaningful experience rather than fitting into a set timeframe.
I arrive with enough time to prepare, meet with key people involved, and make sure everything is ready before your ceremony begins. I’ll always work closely with your venue and suppliers to ensure the day flows beautifully.
Outdoor ceremonies are wonderful, but we always plan for the unexpected. I’ll work with you and your venue to make sure there is a suitable alternative plan so your ceremony remains just as special whatever the weather brings.
Yes. I’m happy to communicate with your venue, photographer, planner, and other suppliers to help create a seamless experience. A great ceremony is part of a bigger celebration, and teamwork helps everything come together beautifully.

Popular dates can book well in advance, particularly during peak wedding season, so I recommend getting in touch as soon as you have a date in mind. However, I’m always happy to check availability for shorter timeframes too.
Your booking includes our planning conversations, creation of your bespoke ceremony, guidance and support throughout the process, communication with you and your suppliers where needed, and conducting your ceremony on the day.
A booking fee is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due according to the agreed payment schedule. Full details will be provided when you enquire.
I understand that plans can sometimes change. If you need to move your date, I’ll always do my best to accommodate you, subject to availability.
Yes, I’m happy to travel to create ceremonies in different locations. Please get in touch with your venue details and I’ll confirm availability and any travel arrangements.

A celebrant ceremony is a meaningful and personalised celebration, but it is not currently a legal marriage ceremony in England and Wales. Couples usually complete the legal formalities separately with a registrar before or after their celebration.
Yes. Many couples choose to complete the legal paperwork privately and then celebrate with their loved ones through a personalised celebrant ceremony on the date that matters most to them.
